We’ve said it before and we will say it again. Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat.
High School Musical‘s Coach Bolton permanently buried that into our minds dating back to the very first movie of Disney Channel’s highly successful franchise. 11 years later and Troy’s father continues to show his enthusiasm for East High’s beloved basketball team.
Bart Johnson, who plays Bolton, was recently spotted out on a brisk jog in the suburbs of Burbank by a few HSM fangirls. In a video posted on Twitter, one can be heard screaming, “Wait, please! It’s Troy Bolton’s dad!”
Johnson immediately makes his way across the street to say hello. “What’s up, Wildcats?” he asks before reciting six iconic words. “Keep your head in the game!”

The actor took to his Instagram page to reshare the video himself, captioning the post, “I always pay respect to my Wildcat gangsters in the mean streets of LA or anywhere. #respect #hsm #liveanddieformywildcats #coachboltonlovesyou”
“High School Musical fans, man, they are the best on the planet, I swear,” Johnson told TMZ following the run-in. “They’re always so nice, kind, respectable, always so excited. So, I’m always going to give them my time.”
Last year, Disney Channel revealed that High School Musical 4 is officially in the works. The upcoming installment centers on an entirely new group of students, so for those banking on a Zanessa reunion, we’re sorry to tell you that HSM 4 will be the start of something new.
There is currently no word on when the TV film is slated to air.
