Mason Gooding is an American actor. He has appeared in the films Booksmart, Let It Snow (2019), Scream, I Want You Back, Moonshot, Fall (all four 2022), and Scream VI, and on the shows Ballers, Everything’s Gonna Be Okay, and Love, Victor.
He is the son of Sara Kapfer and actor Cuba Gooding, Jr. His father is black and his mother is white.
Mason’s paternal grandfather was Cuba Gooding, Sr., a singer and actor (the son of Dudley MacDonald/McDonald Gooding and Addie Priscilla Alston). Mason’s grandfather Cuba was born in New York. Dudley was born in Bridgetown, Saint Michael, Barbados, the son of William Gooding and Edith Augusta Walcott. Addie was born in North Carolina, the daughter of David C. Alston and Jennie Morrick.
