On Friday, March 29, LA-based singer/songwriter ILana Armida released a new single, titled “Good Together.” The track is mid-tempo and mixes genres of electronic and pop. It’s mellow and reflective of a relationship that had its flaws, but at least they looked “good together.”
The singer shares, “I walked into the studio with this concept in mind: my boyfriend at the time and I were probably not great for each other. We would influence each other’s actions, say drinking too much for example; this song is about acknowledging the fact that we probably are not going to last forever, but damn it if we don’t look good together.”
ILana worked alongside writer/producers Allen Mattox, A Tripp and Nick Warner to bring her concept to life, which shows a more raw side to the singer.
The new single follows previous releases, “Addicted to You” and “High No More.” Her songs have been featured on playlists such as Spotify’s Pop Chillout, Release Radar, and Discover Weekly.
Unlike other artists under a traditional record label, ILana is releasing music through her own entertainment company to allow herself more control in her music and songwriting process. In her interview with CelebMix last year, she discovered her love for songwriting during her college days and since then, she has been writing every day.
ILana’s new single, “Good Together,” is available now on Spotify.
