Last week, Flipping Out star Jeff Lewis announced on his SiriusXM radio show, Jeff Lewis Live, that he and his partner Gage Edward had split after ten years together. Lewis explained that Edward had moved out of the home that they shared with their two-year-old daughter, Monroe, after a terrible year of living in separate bedrooms. Now, Lewis has told his fans how Edward reacted to Lewis making their breakup public.

Lewis broke the news on Thursday, and the next day he told fans that Edward did stop by for a visit after the show.

“I’ll be honest with you. I did talk to Gage yesterday. He was at the house, and we put the baby down together, and we talked a little bit in the kitchen before he went back to his hotel room. He said, ‘You know, I really feel like by you announcing that, it made things final,'” Lewis shared. “And I said, ‘You know, I don’t think that it actually made it final. I think every single person we know is hoping for a reconciliation.'”

When Lewis revealed that he and Edward had separated, he added that the couple was simply on a break, and he had hopes that they would eventually work things out. Lewis says that making things public doesn’t make the split final, and he doesn’t think anyone would be upset if they worked things out, no matter how long it takes.

Lewis also went into more detail about the breakup, saying that there is this thing he calls the “Gage Edward Roller Coaster.” One day, he loves you and is attracted to you, and the next day it’s the opposite. And, one day he wants to sleep in the same room, and the next day he changes his mind.

The reality star he was tired of being a “gay human yo-yo” so he had to get off the Gage Edward Roller Coaster.

According to the Daily Dish, Lewis has a lot of support from his Bravo family after sharing his breakup with fans. Lewis says that dozens of people – including Bravolebrities, friends, and family – have reached out to him, and it has been “amazing.”

Sad for their daughter, but I'm not surprised. You could see it coming at the end of last season #FlippingOut https://t.co/xprYfmwvir via @radar_online

Lewis says that he has heard from Bravo friends like Kelly Dodd, Tamra Judge, Jill Zarin, Patti Stanger, MJ Javid, Lea Black, and Reza Farahan, and he added that his phone wouldn’t stop ringing. He admits that the response has been overwhelming, and their messages of support give him hope that he and Gage Edward will be able to work things out.

“I think every single person we know is hoping for a reconciliation,” Lewis said.
